TITLE: Valle di Cogne River Valley
DESCRIPTION: This photograph of the Valle di Cogne was taken in October 2000. A mostly cloudy day was puncuated by a brief break in the cloud cover in late afternoon as the sun raked across the surrounding mountains. Less than a week after this photo was taken there was massive flooding in this valley causing widespread destruction of villages and homes.
