The French Village - Art Exhibit
by Photographer Greg Matchick
"The French Village" Art Exhibit captures the essence of the French village through a collection of fine art photographs by St. Louis photographer Greg Matchick. The works on display are primarily from two villages of the Perigord region in the south of France, Beynac in the Dordogne River valley and St. Cirq Lapopie in the Lot River valley. These small villages, with their old stone buildings and streets are quintessential France. Greg's photographs are hand-varnished fine art prints, a technique which gives them a painterly quality, commonly remarked upon. One must see them to appreciate this unique presentation of photography. This exhibit will be on display from April 1, 2011 through May 27, 2011 and there will be a reception on Friday April 15, 2011.
